Bad Ideas Weekend 2022

Friday Jan. 21 - Sunday Jan. 23, 2022

Have you always wanted to design and build, but have been frustrated by silly requirements and "good engineering practice?" Well, fret no more and come to the 2022 Bad Ideas festival, where your ideas can really take wing and crash straight to the ground. The weekend will also be packed with numerous smaller events, so come by any time, grab some free food, and join us in a celebration of bad ideas. No skills required, tools and materials provided. Alumni and all members of the MIT community are expressly invited.

The epicenter of Bad Ideas is the East Campus courtyard, but Bad Ideas and Bad Ideas events can take place anywhere around campus.

Bad Ideas Chairs this year are Charmelle Mhungu, Madeleine Swartz, and Jordan Tierney. If you have any questions about Bad Ideas 2021, email fad-ideas-futon@mit.edu.

Add yourself to fad-ideas-2022@mit.edu to stay in the Bad Ideas loop!

Bad Ideas 2022 submissions are OPEN! If you're only interested in attending, which is also a very bad good idea, check back periodically-- eventually, a calendar of horrifyingly bad ideas will appear in the Calendar link below.
