Bad Ideas Weekend 2017

Friday Jan. 20 - Sunday Jan. 22

Have you always wanted to design and build, but have been frustrated by silly requirements and "good engineering practice?" Well, fret no more and come to the 2017 Bad Ideas competition, where your ideas can really take wing and crash straight to the ground. The weekend will also be packed with numerous smaller events, so come by any time, grab some free food, and join us in a celebration of bad ideas. No skills required, tools and materials provided. Alumni and all members of the MIT community are expressly invited.

The epicenter of Bad Ideas is the East Campus courtyard, but bad ideas and Bad Ideas events can take place anywhere around campus.

Bad Ideas Chairs this year are Hadrian Merced, Jakob Weisblat and Banti Gheneti. If you have any questions about Bad Ideas 2017, email bad-ideas-chairs@mit.edu.

Add yourself to pritchett-dining-staff@mit.edu to stay in the Bad Ideas loop!

Bad Ideas 2017 submissions are now closed, but you can still submit a talk for TEDxBad Ideas here. Check back soon for more information!
